Announcing the 2007 Mare Stare Foaling "Derby" Contest!
Here's how to play: Choose the ONE date in 2007 that you think the most foals will be born on. (foalings count in the time zone of the foaling cam) ONE date guess allowed per person, and no two people may guess the same date. If two people post with the same date, the first person that posted with that date gets it and the other person must choose another date. Once you choose a date, you MAY NOT change your date or edit your post with your date to change it. **The deadline for choosing a particular date is 24 hours before that date.** For example, if you wanted to choose June 3rd, you would have to have your guess in stating June 3rd before Midnight on June 1st. This is to be fair to everyone. (Can't have ya seeing a lot of foalings going on, and you rush off and choose that particular night.  That wouldn't be fair, right?) If the date you chose happens to be the winning date, you will win a $100 prize!! If nobody guesses the winning date, the $100 will not be claimed. The contest will run until foaling season winds down and the winner will be announced (if there is one)! Have fun, and post your guesses here!!

I know loosing a foal is hard at times, but in out eyes, Its different as we are not there but we can see. We just want to make sure that your mare is okay and that your next year foals will be fine. |

Foals Born At D&D:
McNeil Born March 8th
Update: McNeil is weaned from Terra, They aren't very happy but are getting used to it.
Also, the barn owner traded one of our horses for a mare and foal.
Diamond kept her little guy (Aspen, 3 months) until McNeil was weaned then she kicked him,
making him lame and abandoned him,
so now they are both weaned and they are eating and drinking well! |

My guess is May 18th, my husbands birthday and the day that Mount St. Helens erupted. Hopefully that is when all the mares will erupt too. See there is some logic in my guess
