i'm sorry to hear you have to sell your little mare. It's always hard when you put so much time and effort in to them and it doesn't work the way we want it too. you shouldn't feel bad at all!! you should feel great that although you don't have the knowlage to help her you have the heart to let her go and maybe she will get to be with the right people that can help her. I APPLAUD YOU!!!!!!!

Thank you so much. Than makes me feel a little better. Yes, these people loved Macey when they saw her. I just wanted to cry, but I feel she will in time feel much better with more training. I just pray it works, she is such a pretty mare and has those great big eyes that are always watching you. She loads so easy and does everything prefect, when she has a halter on and a lead rope. You could never catch her without it tho. Well, unless you had her carrots or treats in hand. She was always being roped to catch her so the prevous owners sons could ride her. That probably happened during her pregency too. That made me sick when I was told that by their father. I will keep track of her progress and if I see it isn't working I'll probably bring her back home, as I havent gotten any money for her. I do think it's all going to turn out for the best in the end. Thank you again checkeredhanky.

I just found out, I must have missed that post! I'm so sorry, that things haven't been working with her. I hope that she turns around. A mini should never be ridden by anyone bigger than 50 pounds IMO. Those boys should be given a good talking too about their behavior. How would they like it they were roped and ridden by someone larger then themselves! Grrr..

I really do mean it Linda. I have watched many people keep the wrong horse cause they didn't want to admit it. I myself had to relize that a gelding i raised would never be the right horse for me. your doing the right thing! it sounds like this little girl was tramatized by humans and it takes alot to relize that no all humans are those boys. I hope that it works out well for you and her. keep us updated!

I don't agree with what they did to her, and she was still so young. It just makes me sick. They finally got to old to want to ride her, Thank God, and lost interest. Thats when they decided to get rid of all their mini's. In fact, when we went over to see her, that's how they caught her so I could see her up close. She is so head shy, no wonder, huh. I tried all I knew what to do. Sometimes things just dont work out. I pray she gets keeps getting some really good TLC and training now. Thanks for your support. Hugs.

I'm glad I brought her home, she could have ended up at the auction like the rest of their minis. I think most people would have not understood her problem and she would have gotten more misuse making her issues much worse. She foaled last July 19th and I did keep her filly. She is such a sweet girl, but still has some of her mothers agression when it's feeding time. She would run all the older Mini's off.! We're working that and it's sinking in some. lol I will keep you all updated as I know more with Macey.
