That's great! I hope you find the horses of your dreams. I don't think anyone here was trying to be discouraging, just realistic. My favorite thing about horses is, I can just stand and watch them all day long. It is just sooo relaxing to me, Watching them eat their hay, munch munch munch. Teaching babies the ropes. Grooming on the mares. Wish I could just stay home all day and night with them. Foalwatch in the middle of the night is pretty cool too. The horses seem so calm in the middle of the night. They just all group up and accept you right in the middle. course they all have to make sure to get a little extra attention and not just the mare that's expecting.

Not to offend anyone at all!! But..the HORSES FOR DUMMIES book was very helpful to me when I was a newbie horse owner...its got lots of helpful information in laymans terms so that even I could understand!! LOL Of course...watching the cams and reading all I could on the mesage boards, asking a few "stupid" questions and of course, having Franny @ FNB Ranch as my dearest friend and mentor has helped tremendously!! (Love you Franny!!)

I'll tell you one thing I have learned from these boards. There will never, never be a time when you have a question, no matter what, that these people will not try to help. These is so much experience here, obviously, and they are so willing to share.
