I just heard on the news that Barbaro was euthanized today. That's all they said for now.

Well, all they said when they came back from commercial was that he had surgery over the weekend to put pins in his broken leg and that he was euthanized this morning.

How very sad, when I heard the news yesterday about putting the new screws in, it just didn't sound like it was going to turn out well. He will run pain free now. Such an early end to such a dynamic horse!!! Man was he awesome to see run though!
My condolences to those who worked with this awesome horse.
