She'd best fix a cot in her stall, then! LOL

Sunnydee had a filly two years ago and we had some problems with her, she foaled with no signs at all, no bag, nice rounded rump, nothing to indicate she was going to foal, in fact we were beginning to wonder if she was even bred. It was her filly I had to bottle feed, she never got any milk regardless of what we gave her. This year she did have a small bag but on Friday morning it was gone but still had fluid. I haven't had time this evening to go out and check to see if she is starting to bagged up again or not. And, yes, Christy I may have to put a cot out there to watch her. She is like a little bulldozer, plows down those jumps like they were nothing! Oh and last time she foaled it was around lunch time, 1:45 CST after being in hard labor for a hour and a half and 30 minutes of pulling the foal, foal kept pulling back in! But filly and mare both survived and both are still doing great. That is how Baby got her name "Surprise"

I've got a bulldozer here too. She doesn't let much of anything get in her way. lol When I read about the last foal that was pretty scary. I didn't know a mare could go into hard labor for that long and the baby survive. You must have done some pretty awesome work in helping her get Surprise out.

I never knew that either! And of course my vet was out of the office but luckily my husband was able to get the foal out, it took a long time and we were very surprised that the foal was alive. I guess she was a little fighter. I pray we don't have to go though that again.
And her bag is coming back! So we are good!

I am going to have to shut down the cam right now, we have a storm overhead, I have already lost my highspeed connection. I will keep a close eye on Sunnydee and bring the cam up as soon as the storm passes

Star...that halo isn't going to work...not when it's held up by horns! LOL
Speaking of horns, why don't you go poke Sunnydee, maybe that'll speed things up! ; )

I have the cam up for the night, nothing new about Sunnydee. Her bag is still small, but filling, so I think we have some time before she foals. At least I hope so, sure would love to have her feed her own baby this time. And yes, Baby is now 2 as of May 26 and still as ornery as ever!
