Sorry, I meant to put this here not in Alerts and Updates!
Dear Daisy, Fancy and Rosie:
Okay girls, you are going to get me in trouble. I keep an eye on all of you while I work at night and I'm spending a little too much time watching you three.
Now you are all past your due dates and have week old little babies in there, so it's time now. I know, you can go alphabetically if you can't decide who will go first. Daisy you're first, then Fancy and last Rosie. Do you understand? Good. Now go ahead. Let's see your babies! Oh yeah, may you all be safe and have healthy babies.
Go ahead, go on, come on I'm waiting. Go. . . Go. . .Okay at least by tonight.
Sincerely,
Lynn in AZ

Hello everyone! Update for tonight...does anybody have any ideas??? Because we are at a loss for words. Tonight Doug cleaned all of their bags and put fresh straw down trying to get them in the mood. I think Daisy is being shy so we put a tarp up between her and her other barn friends. Fancy is showing more signs than the other two. Seems to be very uncomfortable and as you know has been lying down quite often. Rosie is pretty much the same and decided to finally stand in another part of her stall today. She must have needed a change in scenery. We have another mare that is due in April, hope she doesn't foal before these 3 stubborn ladies. Well that's all for tonight. Thanks for watching. Have a good night, Jenny & Doug

Not much new today!!!! My prediction is that all three will have their babies within 2 days of each other..I still think Fancy will go first...but Rosie and Daisy aren't far off.....This has been really strange for us this year.. I hope they come soon because we have customer mares showing up in 10 days and we need the room!! Ok any prayers or ideas are welcome!!!! Thank's for watchin! Doug & Jenny

See if you can borrow another mare and an almost newborn and place them near the girls. Maybe then they will get the picture! Maybe an equine message therapist! Maybe you should dim their lights, they may want a bit more privacy. Hope these suggestions help.

Maybe you could tell them that whoever goes first gets a special treat. You know, good old fashioned bribery. Works for kids, why not horses?

Good idea's everyone! I talked to my instructer from equine mgmt school and he said...don't be concerned with these mares because our weather has been so up and down in Iowa and I have had them under lights as well for two months....(He thinks their hormones will catch up with them and when they go it will be quik!)Tonight we will walk the mares up the road and see if that helps a little...thank you so much for watching and being patient with our mares and us...I'll have Jenny give you a full update tonight and I hope to see some babies soon!!! Doug & Jenny
