Trust me, if Riley starts Kelly will have a shot of adrenaline that will amaze us all. She will be there and handle everything like the trooper she is. This waiting is just awful.

Right Krista. with sleep deprivation and a daughter sick with flu I have no idea how she kept from getting sick. Kelly is strong and in great physical shape but this foal watch is grueling.
I know she is going to have the world's biggest smile shortly. There will be a huge message board cheer going off as well. Riley has just stolen people's heart. I wish you all could know the Stallion personally. Personality Plus alone with extremely handsome. When you drive into Kelly's if Stallion is in pasture he runs to fence. You must stop car, roll down window and acknowledge him. Then he is content!!!!!

I always thought a mare would go off food prior to foaling. Guess that is a myth. This is all so new to me. Krista I think Ontario must be beautiful. I have never visited. Turning into a real homebody in my retirement and spend time outside home with horses. Waited 57 years to buy my first horse. lol I only actually after looking for 2 years on line went to see one horse.
Ad on dreamhorse said "approved buyer only" I called and got Kelly on phone. I said let me tell you my story, I am not sure I qualify as an approved buyer. We chatted and she said can you be here at 5PM? Well one visit to see Sid, Kelly's Blk Saddlebred and it wall all over.
I maintain him at Kelly's so he now has two mommy's not just one. It is a great great situation. Kelly then increased her Quarter horse business and it is all so awesome. I even bought a Qtr horse mare and now need to learn Western Riding LOL

thats awsome i got mypony 2 years ago when i graduated elementry school and we keep them at my sis boy friends barn wich my sis runs we have 3 mares due in the next couple weeks so ill no what kelly is going through last year we actualy sleep in the barn in the midle of winter so this year we got a cam wich should help alot hopefully every thing goes well i m a lttle nervous tho

krista, these mare cams are so awesome. I know Kelly and Dave have had long hours in cold barn previously. If Kelly had not instituted this camera I would never have know it was available. Just another example of taking forward steps in horse care and management. 3 Mares due, oh my, I hope each and everyone have a uneventful delivery and a beautiful healthy foal. Kelly has one more mare do, I think in June but am not sure. Tell me all about your pony, was it a surprize?

no we went to look at him cause my sis said it would be good so wen we went tosee him he was perfect he is completly black and has no markings he never spooks he only bucks if you dont ride him in awile cause he lovesto be riden my lil sis rode him in a couple shows last year and they placed well hes only young but where proud of his progress. he is missing a muscle in his back so you cant have to much weight but he has a loving personality i will try to send yo a pic in a couple min

Sid my Saddlebred is all black with the tiniest white tick on forehead. My Qtr mare is a Chestnut her name is Dyna. Your pony sounds awesome. What is his name hon? Also I am not sure how to get pics here but my aol account address is RPMGSD@aol.com

Been researching Mares, foaling, etc. Trying to be informed as possible so I am not too lost with Riley's foaling. However, the one continuous comment on all sites is "Maiden Mares" can be an exception. Go Figure.

Wonderful photos. What a nice indoor facility to ride as well. You are a very fortunate young woman. It is so fun chatting with you. Life with horses is truly a great life!
