It is doing really well. It is almost fully feathered now and is spending his days outside in our garden. When he is out I try to keep my cat in the house. Yesterday was his first day outside and he didn't roam very much, but we shall see what today brings. This morning it was feeding time and my 7yr old son walked into the bathroom (where we are keeping the bird at night) and was looking at the bird. Well the baby wanted fed RIGHT NOW and jumped/flew out of the grain bucket we are keeping him in. He jumped right at my son like IM HUNGRY YOU GOT FOOD!!!! Anyway was pretty cute. He is trying to strengthen his little wing feathers so that is a good thing. I have pictures LOL but they are still on my camera and the batteries are dead....Seems like the story of my life LOL!! Anyway he is doing good, I hope he will do well outside like he is supposed to.

Well I left the little guy out today in the garden (which is what I am supposed to do) and when I came home he is gone. Oh well I know the dogs didn't get him or my cat as they were in the house, we have alot of Robins around here so hoping maybe he found one of his siblings or? I will try to find him one last time before the night.......

Just a little info for anyone who finds a baby bird in the future... Baby song birds DO NOT eat raw meat. Their diet consists mainly of bugs! The website that was posted : ornithology.com....is a good website for reference. Please do not use the diets with the cottage cheese, etc. The best thing to do is to keep the bird warm and try to locate a rehabber. My mom is a successful rehabber in western PA. This is where I got my info! Please let me know if there are any questions in the future. I can even have her look up a rehabber close to whoever needs one!

How cute would that be.

He was getting much more independant. He kept flying/falling LOL out of his bucket in the bathroom so I know he was getting himself ready to be in the big bad world. I don' t know about robin instincts, so I don't know if he (or she) will come back or not. The one robin we have here builds her next ever year in the eaves of my barn. I love seeing her every year...
