Up-date May 24th - prayers needed please

My large mini mare that is in foal is going long again this year Last year she foaled at 357 days, and made no milk for the foal After a huge Vet bill, we saved the foal.
Today Cookie is on 353 days, and still no foal I have been giving her Fernugreek seed powder, and the occational dose of Equizone (that is what made her milk come in last year, and I had some left)

I have been watching her on our barn cam since 320 days. She seems healthy & happy, and loves all the extra attention too I am praying that the foal is positioned correctly, and that with all the added supplements that she will produce milk this year.

Needless to say , I am over tired & now getting worried. I was wanted a black & white paint filly; but at this point I'd settle for a easy delivery, and a healthy foal.

Well, just wanted to vent to those who give a care. I guess I have over worked myself this past month, and am feeling a little sorry for myself.

Bless her heart!! I took Fenugreek capsules for about 6 months after my son was born to help my own milk production! I'm not sure if the milk was more or he just liked to drink it more as it made everything about me smell (and Taste) like maple syrup!!! I did not know you could use it for horses too! That is soo cool! I truly hope your mare produces lots of milk as well as a super healthy baby!

Well Cookie foaled this morning, and I missed it again! I watched her until 3:30am, and then had to get some sleep. This morning at 6:30 I turned on the TV to see her new foal with her. She had a solid colt, her 3rd colt, her first solid colored one BUT I think that he will be a palomino like his grand sire.
Anyway she had plenty of milk for him, and hopefully he will do good, and thrive. I do worry, but time will tell

Our new mini foal is now 48+ hours old. I had my Vet out this morning because I was concerned about the foal having breathing issues & generally wasn't acting right. (Mother's intuition ). The Vet did a new foal check, and pulled blood. Said that the foal defiantly had labored breathing.

After the blood work came back all in the correct ranges The Vet diagnosed my foal with low grade pneumonia He recieved an antibiotic shot, (I'm to give him 3 more) and a steroid shot.
So please say a prayer for my little colt's lungs to clear up
and for him to get 100% better

Now a question...What is up with all these foals getting pneumonia? I have heard of a lot of them getting it this year. Is it the weather or what!!??
