Actually, Kathy, Charlotte tends to lurk outside the box, snoozing, or just taking a break, until the whimpering reaches a particular level of urgency. She used to run to them at every little sound Now she lies there listening to how important it is. Poor girl! Shelley: www.marestare.com/erika.html should do it...

Oh Kathy, I sure hope you're husband gives in and you can have a puppy!! They are so cute!! I dont dare ask my husband for one, we have a puppy coming from SevenAcres...(hubby thinks its going to be his dog, but we know better, dont we? lol) My secret to getting anything I want from my husband is lasagne!! All I have to do is make it for him, and then ask him how much he loves me!! Thats how I got my first mini!! LMBO!!! Honestly though, my husband spoils me rotten...and I love every minute of it!! He would give me anything I wanted if finances permitted. Alas...we have bills to pay, so I take it easy on him! ;D

So, how many people saw Charlotte fall asleep sitting up a minute ago? She was sitting up with puppies nursing, and suddenly pitched over on her face. LOL She woke up before hitting the floor/puppy pile, and then collapsed in a slightly more comfortable position. I think she is on a puppy, though....

ALAS I know all too well about bills. We have two Mortagage payments(well we did , but his dad is paying for this one) and double utilities! It's a long story , but basically his Mom was sick(cancer) they needed a palce in town for her Chemo treatments, they guilted us into purchasing a house with them(that we can not afford) and to put our house on the market( she did not like our house) now it has been a year and our house has not sold , so we have two Mortagages, double utilities, and now we also have thier gas guzzling car that they refuse to kee at their house in the country, which father inlaw lives at and now when he is in town(Hubby's mom died in Jan) anyway now becuase of the bad memmories... he will not live in the big house in the city and now he does not want ot pay for a house he is not living in even though his and her name s are on the deed and loan papers! Sigh ... and we are still trying to sell our house!!! .......Ok so I guess I will have to be extra nice and cook him my eggplant parm......

Look at it this way - if you buy a puppy, you will be helping me with MY mortgage, which I pay alone. No hubby here to contribute. Just me to take care of four horses, my two dogs, two rescue/foster dogs, three pigs, seven indoor cats, three outdoor cats, 33 hens, and eight roosters destined for the freezer.
I'll have to get pictures up soon of the rescue, Kubla Khan. He was left chained in a backyard when his people moved and abandoned him. A neighbor fed and watered him a couple of days, called the owner of Charlotte's pups, and asked if she might want him (he's a bulldog). She has too many males already, but thought of me, and of course I said yes, sight unseen. He was thin, filthy, and had ringworm. I bathed him, bleached the ringworm, and he turned out to be a white with a few tan patches and a bunch of tan freckles. Big dufus, approximately one year old, and very sweet. HANDSOME guy. He WANTS to do the right thing. He just hasn't ever learned anything. If he continues to fill out and fulfill his potential, he should be registerable IOEBA and then he can sire Charlotte's next litter.

I knew you had two houses Kathy (from Franny's board) but I didnt know the circumstances. Have youthought about listing your house on eBay...lots of houses are being sold there and you can put a reserve price on it...just a thought!! Eggplant parm sounds wonderful and could do the trick!! Erika....as soon as my 8 year old came home from school, he asked to see the puppy cam again. We watched together last night too! We wont be watching as much over the weekend, we have a lot of work to get done outside...my husband has his faults, and one is being a pack rat. So much so, that we had to get a dumpster today to haul off lots of his "trash to treasures" projects that he has never got around too...LOL He has good intentions, just not enough time in the day for follow through...but I love him just the way he is!! We'll be watching when we do have the time, it'll be fun watching these babies grow!!

;D Actually Hubby said he was going to call our realtor and tell him we are moving back in... and we are going to put this place on the market, now the next step will be to either get His sister to buy this house (she can afford it) or the realtor He said he wanted it....... the littler house we can afford on our own!.. His dad will have to be talked into making the payments on this house til it sells!
My Eggplant Parm is to die for!!!!
