OK well Guss what the head stall for the bit is way to bigaaaaaaaaaaaaa and the one for the hack is not good enough because the hack keeps on slipping soooo we got to buy new head stalls aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. plus the trainer isn't helping much. he asked me what i wanted Ellie to do and i said i wanted here to go faster and he sed o that will be easy and then left aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. OK so know i went out to ride Ellie today and all i could get here to do was a trot and it was kinda hard to turn here grrrrrrrrrr. so i don't know what i should do. aaaaaaaa i might let another trainer down the road try to help or i might just sell her and buy a different one because i want a horse that would actually run when i give it the bit ugggggg. so ya right know i don't know what to do.

Um I don't want to sound harsh crazyhorse, but riding a horse ISN'T about galloping all the time.. if you did that you'd have a dead horse under you. Maybe you're trainer was trying to teach you something and you weren't quite listening?? I know I would turn around and stomp off if I had put a lot of time into teaching someone to ride and to no avail they haven't tried to learn anything except that they want to "go fast" all the time.

Ahhh, you ask the right question crazyhorse! I try to give the animal the benefit of the doubt. Usually if a horse doesn't do what we ask, the animal doesn't understand us, or can not do what we ask. I would not begin to guess, as there are so many factors to consider. It could be as simple as a tack issue, or something physical with the animal, I have no idea. Why don't you talk further with your trainer and try to get more info from her/him

crazyhorse, how long have you owned this horse? How old is the horse? These are all things you need to consider also. If a bit or saddle isn't fitting right, the only way a horse can let you know is by doing many of the things she IS doing now. If she's older, arthritis should be considered. Or, it could simply be a trust issue, and by no means is that a simple issue. I used to ride a mustang mare and all she wanted to do was trot. It took a LONG time to build a strong enough bond with her to teach her that she was able to trot with a person on her back. But, you know what, she was the best horse I EVER rode. Time, patience, and understanding are essential. It may take a month or a year, but she will do it. And you won't be dissappionted.
