My Little Mary isn't getting to come home tomorrow. The surgeon called this a.m. He said there is some swelling where they took the graft material. He also said this is very common in foals & Mini's. But, he wanted to keep her threw the weekend so he can check her often. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I know she is in the best of hands and getting the best possible care & treatment. I was really looking forward to her homecoming tomorrow! I am going to go visit her in the a.m. Thank you everyone for your kind words of encouragement, prayers and healing thoughts! Keep em coming! Apparently she isn't exactly out of the woods yet! Viki

I know it puts an awful ache inside you when you have one of your babies in the hospital and not at home where she belongs. Here's hoping that soon all will be well and she'll be back in your arms, healthy and happy to be home! sandy

I got to visit little Mary in the hospital yesterday a.m. She looked great to me! They kept her the weekend to watch some swelling. I sure didn't see it, but I am comparing it to before surgery! Nearly swollen shut just a week ago! She was happy to see me. Yea! She appears to be doing very well! I expect her to come home tomorrow (Monday) to start her long (6 weeks!) convalescence! I've very thankful for all the prayers and good thoughts send her way! She really is a sweet little girl!
