My mom went and had an MRI on her knee done Monday and she got her report back yesterday.... it wasn't good . She is going to have to have total knee replacement surgery, more than likely right after her birthday. She's too young to already be having problems like this... she's only 49 fixing to be 50. Right now she's on crutches and she seems to be having difficulties balancing on them. The doctor said that her knee had no cartilage, and is basically bone on bone. I was really disappointed. Seems like this summer, with all that's going on with the weather and the war and everything in between, it's kind of a bad year.
Just be keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh my - hugs and love to your mom. Medicine has come a long way - hopefully they'll have her back to normal (or better) in no time.
Keep us posted. How's your mare doing at the breeders?

Still nothing, in fact, I talked to her last night and she said none of the mares she has been teasing aren't in the mood! She blames it on the heat. Would that really effect if they respond to a stallion or not? If she isn't in by tomorrow, we are just going to go ahead and pick her up, because mare care expenses are building up! I'm still trying my best to convince mom to go ahead and drop off Mystery, because I know that she is obvious about her heats. *Sighs*

Prayers being sent for your mom. My mom also had a total knee replacement, just 2-3 months ago. It is a very painful process but I know in a year she will be feeling awesome and have so much better use of her legs. Hang in there. It will get better.

Prayers to all of you. Your mom will be fine Shaina. Once it's healed she will be able to enjoy life more. I have heard of extreme heat affecting mares and stallions. Keep us updated on your mom sweetie.

Good luck to your mother. My best friend with through total knee replacement this summer. She is 55. She had the kind that allows better mobility. It's some type of new procedure. I will find out more and let you know. She had it down in June and it up to 100% mobility now. She is walking without a cane or walker. She is now mostly pain free.
