WEll i just realized i never kept you guys updated on Hollywood's cyst... it went down in about 5 days without any meds... vet says most likely allergic reaction to mosquito bite....
Both of my boys are doing well. I am having a hard time knowing that i only have a little less than two weeks left with them before i leave for texas... They will be with me in March, but i am going to miss them more than i could ever put into words. I have so much history with them, both of which were rescue type cases and we have bonded quite tightly. I have a friend that is going to be riding them, and contacted a few riding stables out there letting them know that i would be willing to let them use both my boys in their lesson programs, shows, etc in exchange for board but have not gotten anything back.... UGH! I will have my own place on a ton of land though in March, so that puts my mind at ease.. Still its so long away from them
Hollywood and I have been going to local team ropings and he is doing so very well. Some of the big timers out here keep asking me if i am sure he is a PURE TB, and he has a ton of cow sense! Who would have known, he is going to be ridden and roped off of once or twice a week by some of these guys so i hope to have a much better, trained horse than he already is.
Beau is doing well. I have been working with him on driving as of late and he really really seems to love it. I would love to build a nice little two person cart for him to pull... He and I have also been going back to our roots and riding english two times a week dressage and jumping... He is just so awesome i love him...
The horses i have in training here have began to all go home. I am going to miss each and every one, I had an Oldenburg here for 6 months and we became very close. But he is going on to a succesful show career. All i have left currently is a couple of babies (6-11) months old that i am working with on halter and respect issues...
As for Baxter and Sparkle. Baxter is back to his crazy self, Mr. Personality. His leg healed up great... and he has no ill affects from the hairline fractures he suffered. As for Sparkle next heat cycle she will be preggers! Yay! As most of you know she is a white mini schnauzer and the stud we are breeding her to is a parti colored (liver and white looks like a little tobiano) so we are hoping to get some color!
As for my search for a couple cowbred broodmares... i keep searching... Some friends of mine told me that there are three or for big time cutting horse operations about 30 min from campus so i intend on going and checking them out.. who knows!
Well i hope all is well with everyone. And if you know of anyone in the Austin Texas area that would be willing to house my boys please let me know.. i would let them ride and use them all they want, as long as they are experienced horse owners...
Thanks!
God Bless You All!
