A friend of mine has a horse that has recently been diagnosed with cancer... She is grey so it is melanomas and i do know that in most cases its not too big of a deal but i was wondering if there are any herbs she can feed her? Our vet suggested something with seaweed for her immune system?
Heather I know you are big into herbs so i was wondering if you could possibly help us out?!/

I don't know about herbs for the immune system (although I use them for lots of stuff with horses) but I do know something about natural type supplements for the immune system. There's a guy by the name of Frank Lampley who has several products that are minerals and stuff. I used products from him for my EPM horse and I have used the immune booster on several other problems that indicated a horse needed an immune boost. The guy can get his politics worked in with his supplements and I ignore that part but his supplements work great. My EPM horse is doing awesome and is now packing my granddaughter around the show ring and winning which rarely happens with EPM horses. I was happy with the outcome for the other instances I used it as well. Would buy it for the twins if I had the money but they've tapped me out right now. You might consider looking into him and his stuff. He was investigated by the FDA and they wanted to shut him down BUT he survived the government hearings because he'd done lots of testing and kept great records so they now leave him alone. That right there says something.

I use Super Immune up by Glenbrook Farms. In fact I have some left over from foaling season if you'd like it. I like to keep my herbs fresh and I don't want it to go to waste, so - let me know if you want me to send it to someone.
Best wishes - keep us posted.
And I love using minerals, etc too Mikael. We have a local vet called Dr. Dan that does all that. I had some issues with some of his products, but alot of them worked great. Problem is the $$$$ factor.

Email me your address and I'll get it shipped out. I don't want anything for it. I just want to get it used up so it doesn't go bad. Heather@marestare.com
