Such sad news but he was doing what he loved when he died. And what a freaky accident! Wouldn't it be nice if we could all go that way? While doing something that we love to do?

I have been watching steve, sence just before bindi sue was born. She is now 8, and her little brother will be 3. I am in shock! I sat here and cried, in toal disbelief, he had more passion for his animals, and respect for them, as though he was there creater. But at the same time showed just as much respect for his wife and passion, and love for his children. He lived a life that only I can dream of, but we shared the same passion for animlas. Steve Erwin was and always will be my Idol. All though his heart was damaged by doing something he loved, a little of it still beats on inside each and every animal he has saved. I remember a show of crock hunter when one of his Crocks he had for years, that he rescude was found dead in his inclosure. How he sat there with his hand on the crock, and just cried, you could tell then what passion he had for his critters. God made the critters, then he made STEVE ERWIN, to look after them. I only hope his son Bob will carry out his dad's passion I think that would be so awsome, I know Bindi Sue is goiing to, she already said it was her zoo!

I agree with you Leonanc. I have watched Steve Irwin since he started being aired on Animal Planet. My son was born just 3 months after Bindi. I have followed them closely. I admire him so much. He is also someone I have looked up to and always dreamed to one day meet. It was my longtime dream to visit his zoo and meet him. His passion and dedication to conservation was just remarkable. No other like him. The entire world is at a lost without him. So young and so much ahead for him so it looked. But I guess God had bigger and better plans for him. I just feel so awful for Terri, Bindi and Bob. I have cried so much over this. I believe Bindi and Bob will carry on his legacy and make him very proud. It's in their blood. Plus their mother is just as dedicated to the animals as Steve was. I just hate the thought of him being in such pain before he died. I will continue to pray for the Irwins and all who are grieving his much too soon death. As Steve would say, "Crocs Rule!!!!" I will never forget him. Added: To send condolences to Steve's family. Visit this link. community.discovery.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/9691947048It may take you several attempts to get into it.. There are so many people posting.

I had forgot to post it earlier, but his documentary is going to be aired I beleive. His wish was that if he died, he would die being filmed. and he wanted it to be shown, so they are oging to air it in memory of him, also to respect his wishes

when will that be aired?
My condolences go to his family. To me it doesnt seem right that he died being pierced by a stingray. For someone to who decicated his life to crocodiles (and others) it almost seems unfitting. But yes he died doing what he loved best. The world lost someone dear who could never be replaced, but his love and dedication to the animals I hope will be carried on by his family. Like Melaine said, God must have had a bigger plan for Steve Irwin. We are all greaving, His work is known throughout the world, and will never be forgotten.
Rest In Peace Steve Irwin, You will truely never be forgotten!!!

I don't believe the film of his death will be released. I'm hoping it doesn't. That is very private and would not be good for any of his young viewers. Terri will be the one who decides what will happen to the film. His manager/friend/producer totally refuses to show the film and says it needs to be destroyed.

It was said this am on the news that it has been decided, that the tape of steve's last few moments will never be showed in this life time. If Terri, and the children are to move on, something like that tape should not be plastered on the tv, for her or her children to see. And you know that once it hits the tv, it will be dragged on for ever. They would never get any closer at all. Steve's dad said that Terri was being very strong because she knows that steve new the risk in what he did, and so did she. Many of the risk she was right there by his side, but they put that risk a side every day of there lives, because of there love for animals. And she knows for the childrens sake she needs to be strong, and that is what steve would exspect from her. He said it himself that if he was to die, he wanted to be remembered for his love and dedication to the conservation of animals. And steve was the type of person where he could not think of a better way to go, but by doing something you love so much! And I hope when it is my time to go I have touched at least one life, as much as he touched millions. We love you steve & family. See God needed him to come and conservate the animals in heaven.
