Hello all, I have to do a presentation that involves storytelling for one of my classes. I was wondering if any of you could suggest a few good horse or animal related stories i could possibly tell? They can be children's stories or true life stories, just have to be entertaining.

How about "Oliver, cat-about-town" by James Herriot? Not horses, but still animals ;D He also has other short stories, like "Only One Woof" as well as "James Herriot Dog Stories" just a few suggestions! As far as horse stories go, maybe try looking in Chicken Soup for the Horselover's Soul

The books Shannon suggested are the best for short stories. Many funny and heartwarming stories. I can read James Herriot and Chicken Soup over and over. There are also pet, dog, and cat Chicken Soup books. Let us know how your story telling went Skye.

I have read Chicken Soup for the Horse Lovers Soul I and II several times - there are SOO many inspiring stories in there. however, a book that i liked even more was called Hope Rising. It's a true story about Crystal Peaks Youth Riding Center and although a few of the stories in it (it's broken up into many different parts) were extremely emotional, it is an AMAZING collection. I highly recommend it - my two favorite short stories in it were titled Miracle and Lord Have Mercy. I highly suggest it!!!!!

Still looking need text by tomorrow morning and just got back from a meet in Nebraska.... ugh! Stressful... I am going to google the dog stories! THanks so much for all of your help!
