"Veterinarians and veterinary technicians have launched a non-profit organization called St. Louis Horse Heroes to raise funds for the care of the 25 survivors of a horrific Sept. 27 crash of a double-decker trailer that was ferrying the horses to slaughter in Illinois. Caretakers for these animals are requesting the help of horse owners and enthusiasts nationwide--they need silent and live auction items. The proceeds from this auction will benefit the organizations caring for the survivors. The estimated care of the survivors has risen to approximately $50,000." For more information, see www.thehorse.com/viewarticle.aspx?ID=7962And for an update on the surviving horses, see www.thehorse.com/viewarticle.aspx?ID=7967

So sad. You can go to www.hsmo.org to see pics of the surviving horses and what's being done to each of them. Also has updates for each. Poor babies.

Complete prayers for each of these babies. And a big prayer that people in America will wake up and realize we are to help take care of the animals God has blessed us with and not be doing this to them. This kind of stuff just tears my heart out.
