ok. What type of control issues are you having? Does she toss her head when you put pressure on the bit? Does she fight a resquest to turn/slowdown by pulling through it?

she will fight to slowdown and turn and when we are at shows she will sometimes get so out of hand that i have to tighten the reins to the point where i am almost touching her head

Does she resist taking the bit at all? This next one may sound a bit strange but, Have you tried riding her with a halter and a lead line to the D rings?

no she does not resist taking the bit and i have ridden her in a halter and a lead line the intresting thing about that is she behaves pretty well except for the fact that with the halter on she thinks its time to eat grass

ok! This helps! With the lead line as a rein do you a) pull straight back to turn? or b) pull slightly out and back? the fact that she doesn't risist taking the bit tells me that it doesn't hurt her mouth at all, if a bit bangs on their wolf teeth or the bit hurts them all the time they'll try to avoid it as they associate it with the pain.

i tighten up the rein a little bit and put a little bit of pressure with my outside leg

Ok, the Eggbutt shouldn't pinch. How long is the mouth piece?

To answer your question yes. I need a solid cheek Curb bit for my mare for western but for English she responds beautifully to a full cheek. This one as a matter of fact. Clicky I originally had her on a Loose ring(sample one from above) with a 5in mouth and it would pinch her cheek and I had no control. With the full cheek I bumped her up to a 5.5in mouth and have had no problems since.
