You wont believe your eyes when you see this video. THe rider has fallen off and the horse keeps working the cow all by himself.
Go to YouTube.com then search "Hold That Cow"

h2opony, I went to youtube.com and typed in Hold That Cow but the search resaults said there were none there called that. So I typed in cutting horse and this brought up a page and the one you are talking about is the third one down on the page. Just wanted to let you know and anybody else who may try to find it. Going to go watch it again. Hugs!

I went to the cutting horse nationals one year and saw almost the same thing. A man was relaxing on his horse with his right leg thrown over the horn. They were in the far corner of the arena. A cow broke through and the horse did as it was taught. Stop that cow! The rider ended up on the ground and the horse kept working until that cow went back to the herd. Cutting horses are truly amazing. The only time the rider can cue the horse is when they ride into the herd and cut the cow out. After that the horse must work by itself. If the rider is seen giving any cues major points are deducted.
