Early this week I was excited to hear that the Express Personel Clydesdales were coming to Jonesboro. They would be appearing in the Christmas Parade and they would be at the Fair Grounds on Saturday. Then the work schedule came out and I had to work Thursday nite and all day on Saturday. OH NO!! So, I went to the barn last nite to feed my baby, and guess who is staying down the aisle from my boy for the weekend?? THE EXPRESS CLYDESDALES!! How much fun is that. They are GORGEOUS!! (Though I must say they don't have anything on my boy...though I think I'm just a bit prejudiced)lol Casper and Chassey(the QH mare I horsesit on weekends and holidays) aren't really sure about the Giants down the hall. LOL

OMG I bet your eyes got so big when you saw those gentle giants in the barn. lol What luck that was for you. You get to spend more close one on one time with them than if you had to go see them and still make it to work. So much better. Not many people get so lucky. Years ago, I saw the Budweiser clydesdales in Las Vegas, wow that was awesome. I'm so happy for you. ( and I know your little guy is much better looking) smiles

There is a draft horse sale north of Winston-Salem, NC the weekend after Thanksgiving every year. Well worth going just to see the beasties - and buy a raffle ticket for the weanling! I was very sad to learn that my Rowdy's sire (a Farceur-line Belgian) passed away recently. Lemme see if I can figure out how to post a picture of my half-Belgian... Okay, now I have it under control. Lots more pictures posted where they should be, in photos&such

WOW!! He's GORGEOUS!! I want a draftie (lol). Maybe I'll snag one of MK"s foals somewhere down the line (only if I'm lucky). Well, Girls I have to apologize. I was gonna go feed my boy after I got off of work (9:30am to 8pm) then go home and grab my camera and head to the barn to snag some pics. But alas. they had their last showing this evening, and headed out. I'm sorry. I had wanted some pics myself. Can ya forgive me?? Well, the good news is I found my camera. And my boy has quite a fan club going. Even the trainer at the barn who told me to sell him, how much she hated him, and the she had given up on him told me the other day (when I decided to get an endurance type trail saddle for everyday riding) what do you mean he's not a show horse. (lol same woman who told me a few weeks ago, he'll probably never show well.) LOL he seems to grow on those he is around!! The best was one girl who came to the barn to take a riding lesson, saw the Clydes down the aisle. Then looked at her mom and said Hey, Casper's in the arena!! If he can steal the attention from world champions, it does make sense how quickly he stole my heart. Well, I suppose I should probably quit bragging about my boy....but you know how it is!!
