Today was a horrible way to start the week. It seemed to be a normal morning, woke up on time, caught the bus, and went to school. My friend walked into the gym this morning and told me that a few boys from my class wrecked. I thought it wasn't major seeing how all three of them have wrecked before. A few minutes later over the intercom they announced for all drivers to move their cars from the lower parking lot.... this could only mean that LifeStar was flying in. I was scared to death then. Emotions when high while walking to class. As I sat in my first block class, the teacher wasn't there and only 5 other students were. Then one of my "guy" friends, who rarely cries, came in bawling his eyes out. I later found out that Jordan was killed in the wreck. He was a great friend and was a much-loved good ole country boy, who I will deeply miss . I have definitely shed enough tears today. I've not heard anything else on the others that were involved other than Seth, and last I heard on him was he was conscious but was ejected into the other car who hit him and Jordan. I think he broke both of his legs, and his face is badly injured. We always seem to take life for granted and when things like this occur, it really makes you thankful for family and friends. It takes just that one accident to change your life. I hope you will keep all of us and Jordan's family in your prayers. I know that our Junior class will not be the same... seeing how three of the five in the wreck were in our class. Just keep us in your prayers!

Oh Shaina! Thats so awful. I pray Seth and the other make it and heal to lead a normal life. As for Jordan, I send prayers and hugs to his family & friends. It's always sad to have someone get killed in an accident so suddenly like that... I can't really say anything to undo the pain and sadness, but know I am praying and sending hugs for you & others.

More bad news. I just found out that another boy was killed. This really upsets me. I know there are tough days ahead. And for all of this to happen before Christmas is really depressing for all families involved. BrandonNeal was the other boy killed, he was in the 9th grade. Our school will have to piece back together. We've never had a loss like this before. My school is small 500 students k-12, and for 2 to be killed in a wreck breaks the hearts of all of us. The story presented by the local news channel is here: www.wbir.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=40352

I need to make a correction, Jason was the one who was killed. Through all of the confusion names get mixed up. I may or may not go to the hospital tonight. They said that so many people was in UT's waiting room, they had to move them to the auditorium. We are going back to school tomorrow, but I highly doubt many of the high school students will be there. There will be several conselors at school to help with the grieving process. One of my friends is definitely in denial. She had told Jordan last night that she had other things to do when he ask her to go with him. She kept saying she had been so mean to him. I just hope that she doesn't dwell on this. We know that both of these boys are at a better place.
I am thankful for friends, I am thankful for a school that is public yet we still had a moment of prayer. I am thankful for all of the support that I willl recieve from the people at marestare. You all are great.... remember me tomorrow as I go back to the place were it started.
Rest peacefully Jordan and Jason.

Oh Shaina, this is heart breaking. It's so hard on all the kids at the school to lose friends like this. My heart aches for their families, you and the whole town. I'll be keeping you and everyone else there in my prayers.

Today trip back to school was very emotional.
All day long, we had cameras in our faces. It was very annoying, but the news has to get their story. I hate how they publicize this stuff.
First block was silence after our teacher gave us a very good speech on how to deal with our emotions. We had another assembly, we were introduced to the ministers and counselors. We had a moment of prayer and then we talked about the good times.
Tomorrow will be an even sadder day. Jordan funeral will be held in our basketball gym because of the expected crowd. I've not heard anything on Jason yet.
Today consisted of nothingness in all our classes. Today seemed like it took a year to go by. Today we opened Jordan's locker and wrote notes to him all in it. No one will ever have his locker, his seats in his class rooms or lunch seat. Jordan was much loved, always cutting up.
We had a Junior class meeting to discuss his family's needs. We are making a memory board for Jordan because it was his dad's request. I made this poem in memory of Jordan (and Jason, though I didn't know him personally).
For granted we take most of our lives Then God sends a message before our own eyes It couldn’t be stopped, but we will prevail Yet all we do now is weep and wail. From us they left to a home far away We will meet them again in heaven one day The timing they left us on this earth Was so close to our Savior’s wonderful birth. Times will change and grieve may all we Together we will pull into unity Life is like a vapor, it vanishes away We bowed our heads, leaned over to pray. We ask God, “Why, why, WHY?” We fell on our hands and knees to cry We’re in denial, we all feel worthless, Yet everything that happens has its own purpose. God’s message rings very loud and very clear, Don’t take life for granted, hold friends and family near.
Pray that we all make it through tomorrow... I don't believe it's truly hit anyone yet.
