If you have an old computer you can set up in the barn and wireless router with enough reach, you can use a cheapie ($20) webcam. If the old computer doesn't have a wireless card, there are thingummies available at walmart and I don't think they were very expensive.
I also saw this on my local Craigslist (Raleigh, NC) about ten minutes before I saw your posting. Maybe they'd ship:
LOOK - Wireless Monitor w/Camera, Audio and Motion Sensor - $100

We have two wired cameras from SuperCircuits in Texas and we love them! They are color, weatherproof and have night vision. Cost is $98.95. We use a color tv dedicated to the foaling cams for our monitor. We could not use wireless due to our metal barn and the distance from house to barn. The picture quality is excellent and Super Circuits is very speedy about shipping your order and they have excellent tech support after the sale. We also bought a switcher box for $29.95 from SuperCircuits, so we can view up to 4 cameras if we want to. I can lock it on one camera or set the time frame (several setting from slow to faster) if I want the two cameras to switch between each other in case we have two mares in the barn at the same time. www.Supercircuits.comIf you need further information please pm or e-mail me @ Skinney668@aol.com Steph @ Kinney Miniatures

Ok so hooked my cam up to both tv and computer. I have it working on my Windows movie maker and AVER TV Studio program. I have now asked mare stare what I need for programing inorder to have my cam working on the internet. Will let you know what they tell me. I love my new cam!!!
P.S. will have it on line from March to May if I can get it working on world wide web. Note because I am on dial up and have no extra money for a computer just for it, it will not be on 24/7. But will try to have it on when I know mares are close to foaling. I have gotten good at reading mares 24 hours before foaling.
