tinypony-- mine is the same way. Slasher's not really a warm/fuzzy type of horse, but he knows if I'm hurting. I'll hug his neck and he'll press his head against my back in a "hug" as long as I need it. Horses are amazing, intuitive creatures.

Awww Kelly. Hugs and kisses to you. I think we have all been there done that. But just when life seems sooo low something happens to perk us up. I get so stressed out over the holidays. Then came my little Doodle Bug on the 29th. Can see his pics on the alerts page under It's A Boy. When he comes running up for a back scratch and makes those cute little baby llama noises my heart runneth over with warmth and joy. Nothing like a warm fuzzy to lift your spirits. Cheer up and hang in there my friend. ;D

Over and over, I find myself remembering writer Jane Smiley's simple sentence, "I had forgotten how good it is to stand next to a horse." So basic, so true.
