Just got word that they lost Buttons, their first foal of 2006. Please send prayers for his mom, Kirri, who is taking it very hard, and hugs and prayers for Nettie and everyone at Silhouette Park.

Thank you Heather.. and everyone  Buttons was 9 days short of being 4 months old. He came down with colic approx 4pm Saturday afternoon, he had died by 4pm on Sunday afternoon. We had the vet out twice and I sat with him all night and walked him and did all we could. We rushed him tot he vet hospital when he started to show no improvement (he had beens howing improvement right until lunch time on sunday) we did everything we could but he didnt' make it. Kirri had to be heavily sedated for the trip home. She was given time to grieve her baby. Its just not fair. Buttons was a beatiful colt, he was the son of our very first miniature colt, who now unfortunately is gelded. But he knew he was loved.. Nettie |

I'm so sorry Nettie. I know words just can't do much justice to comfort you or Kirri right now in your time of grief. He was very loved during his unfairly short time with you, but he's running free now with many, many friends over the Rainbow Bridge.  |
