OK, it's back up now. They were outside until just about an hour ago, so you didn't miss much. Heather and I talked about getting a cam for them outside but haven't gotten that set up yet. But I can tell you they are little characters out there. I have a big blue plastic barrel in there with them and they ganged up on it, pushed it over and were rolling it around like the big horses do. Surprise is really put out about not being able to get loose in my yard. She's really lusting after those flowers. I did put a snap on the chain on the gate latch so she can't get it undone anymore.

The twins are doing great. They are finally getting to go outside and they love it. However, Surprise is really put out about having to stay in their paddock. She really thinks the yard should be her domain. I'd hate to see what my flower garden would like like if she got loose in it. The weather has cooled off today and that's much better for them. They have so darn much hair that I've really had to watch them in the sun so they don't get overheated. That meant they could only go out in the afternoon when the shade reached their paddock. Hopefully, they'll get an extended period of time out today with the temperature drop. They're so cute out there. Every car, biker, or walker that goes by they run to greet. They're pretty sure the whole world is there just to entertain them. I've ctually seen a couple of buck and kicks with disappointment because they didn't get attention from the passerby. If those folks only knew what they're missing by ignoring the twins

It's probally much better that she stays out of it, for the sake of your sanity at least. ROFL! If only they knew, they'd run as fast as they could! Those two's shenanigans would be more than enough for any one person. It's good to know that they're doing ok, and that they like the time outside. Give them some love from me!

Yes, they have been outside but that shouldn't affect the cam being up. I don't know what knocked it off this time but it's back up now. They are outside right this minute but I'm going out to bring them inside in just a few minutes. Looking at the cam, their stall is ready for them now.
While they were outside, Trouble and Surprise have spent most of the afternoon tipping over their water. I've filled it up a couple of times and now the area is all muddy. The little monsters.............

I can just imagine what her idea of it should look like! ROFL! It's probally much better that she stays out of it, for the sake of your sanity at least. I think it would be more for the sake of the flowers than my sanity - that left a long time ago, say maybe the first week with these too. Those flowers would be toast! She would probably eat the darn garden to the ground. I think anyone non horsey would probably be better off running. But if you love horses, any time hands on with those two can be pretty special. I had someone here last weekend looking at horses and I took them into the twins' stall. Trouble came right up to her, buried his head in her chest and loved her big time. She couldn't believe her eyes and couldn't have been more delighted. She's had horses her whole life and has never seen one as friendly and kind as that. She's looking for an older colt but if she doesn't find what she's looking for wouldn't be surprised to see her come back for Trouble. As for loving from you, you bet. They love all that marestare love. BTW anyone who wants to be included on the mailing list for my regular email updates on the twins just email me through my website with your email address and I'll add you to the list. www.risingrainbowarabians.com I'm getting ready to start working on another one.

Hi Mikael! Just wondering about the "kids" LOL! I just checked in on them like I do almost every day and I see they are outside and the stall is awaiting their return.

Hi Cheri,
The twins are doing fine. You must have checked on them just before I put them back into their stall for the evening.
They haven't been getting out every day because the flies are just ferocious right now. A local farmer started clearing out my manure pile and stopped right in the middle and the flies have just gone bizerk!!! They love that opened up pile for breeding unfortunately.
It's too late in the season to find fly masks and both twins and Mom have weepy eyes from the flies. Vee has a fly mask but the twins take it off of her. So I've been only putting them out when it's cooler and the flies aren't so intense.
I've been working on getting an email update out on them. It's been a while since I've done one. I was hoping to have some good news to share. I thought I had a resource lined up for braces for them but looks like it's not coming through after all. The corrective trimming is a long slow process and progress not as good as we had hoped. We'll have to just plugging away at it.
In the meantime the twins are fat and happy and still growing like they should. It's quite a sight to see me leading all three of them out to their paddock. Surprise wants to trot all the way out and Trouble wants to lollygag. I swear he thinks there could be girls somewhere along the way. He's pretty single minded. Vee's pretty patient about the whole thing. She stands quietly if I have to stop and get leads untangled (which happens a lot) while Surprise bumps me to hurry up.
