Our friends at Tikiopolis.com went to alot of trouble to create a chatroom just for Mare Stare. Let's give it a try and give me some feed back. I was told that even though it's a Java chat you do not have to download anything. Just go to www.tikiopolis.com/webchat/Config.asp?Channel=MareStareChat Just enter your screen name and choose the room you want to enter by using the drop down bar at the bottom - chooe Mare Stare Chat.  If you want to register (which is NOT mandatory but guarantees your screen name for only you) go to www.tikiopolis.com/chat/nickserv-registration-helper/ Alot of work went into this so let's give it a whirl And I need your feedback - was it easy to get into - any problems? Give me some input here, please! |

OK...Im a dedicated lurker....but I decided to try it out for ya Heather and I had no problem getting in... ;D I spoke with someone whos husband created the whole thing I guess..lol....really didnt have a clue what I was doing...I have never been in a chat room in my life....roflmbo  So I guess it works...and for those of you who like to chat....get in there tonight and give it a whirl...lol |

I just registered, NightShade is a very nice and friendly lady!! She wants everyone to know that if you look under the chat window, you can click on "status" and set yourself as AWAY or see who else is AWAY, just in case the list says lots of people are in there, but no one is talking...I sure hope I got that right!! lol Its a really nice chat room...lots of cool smileys too!! I just tried to get into it and it gave me a security warning saying "the application's digital signature has an error. Do you want to run the application?"
I don't know if it is just my computer or what. i know nothing about computers except typing and pressing enter!
I entered my username and password, then did the dropdown to MareStare. I didn't put in a password under MareStare. Then the little Java thing came up and started loading (or whatever it does) then the warning screen comes on.
Am I just supposed to run the application?

The first time I got on this morning I had no trouble. But I went a second time and I got that error message so I ran the application with no trouble got me right in. Hope that helps.

Hmmm, I clicked on the red x to erase the warning (I didn't run the application) and after I clicked it, it showed the chat room up and running. Don't know wat that was all about. I think I'm in, though! I'm going right now to check.

The gentleman that updates their site hasn't updated their version...I think that's right...anyway - that's why you will get the security warning. It will stop soon.

I tried to get in but got an error. The page was looking at me but it was just a blank background with no chat and on the bottom it said error.

Cant tell you how thrilled I was when Nightshade said had cleared up confusion Heather, and that people were in, Tsh and I are in now... I am downloading unrealmedia player to view Locust Tree cam. Happily those I talked had no trouble getting in. Yes can stay in all night or as long as your connection holds, remember some asked about that earlier..

Heather, I checked it out also and it is easy to get into...I was haveing a conversation with myself.....LOL. Got all the right answers that way!....LOL. But it is cool, can not wait to check it out when more are in there. The only problem is, is you can not foal watch while useing it because it covers the whole screen. But hay it works thats all that matters.

Sure you can, just open a second window and size chat so can do both...
Glad those that came by for the most part enjoy it.
I am home more as inadvertantly slipped and fractured pelvis, so home and sitting more but find at pc I get too intent, and leaning forward HURTS so can sit here LESS then prior to injury...... sigh
