I've been noticing lately that Baylee's belly is getting bigger than normal, and also tending to sit to one side when she's standing. She went to stud back in August, but the stud owners said she never covered. I've been wondering if they lied or maybe something happened to were she was covered. Last time she was in foal she started showing around March/April. She foaled in June. According to the foaling calculator on foalnet, if she was bred she'd be due mid July. I'm probably getting excited over nothing, but it would definitely be cool if she was pregnant (to a Cremello, Palomino, or toby stallion LOL ). If she's not preggy then she is getting a hay belly were as Rusty and Mystery still have normal bellies. Do you think the winter weather is getting to me? I'll try and get a picture this weekend... seeing how I'm going to be having a lot of district tournaments this weekend. By the way, wish us luck tonight.... it's the first round of the tournaments and if we win we go to regionals and have a chance at the district championship! ;D

I know that the winter weather is getting to me! I live in the North Georgia Tri State Area, and these 20 degree nights are wearing my OUT!
Good luck with your tournaments ;D

Easy way to figure it out is to have her palpated or ultra-sounded. Then you won't have to wonder.

I managed to get some pics this evening when I fed them. She is looking nice and round... here they are: I would get her ultrasounded if money wasn't so tight right now. Too much is going into the whole prom deal(tickets, dress, etc). They are due for their check up in May. Plus, it is $80 just for the vet to come out because they are 25 miles away, and they want the money upfront, no payments. If she is pregnant it is to this stud: www.vistafarm.com/chance.htmlI'll email Linda tonight and ask if she was ever exposed to the stallion when she wasn't home. BTW, we won our first tournament game... going to be playing tomorrow night at five. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, I emailed the farm, and she reassured me that she isn't pregnant, unless some how they got out of their stalls at night and got back in them by morning (LOL). I guess whenever it warms up, which is suppose to be this week, I will be giving her some workouts. She is getting to be a chubby butt along with Rusty. Mystery is in pretty good shape.
(and about out tournaments) We lost Saturday night and play tonight in the consolation game. We have a chance at third place... I want to win! It will give us a better seat in the Region tournaments.

I am confused. Did you send your mare there to be bred or not? If so, why didn't they ultrasound her if she never showed to be in season? When was her first visit there, and why did you send her back? Sorry to be asking so many questions, just trying to figure out your situation. Did you sign a breeding contract with them? Well hopefully she took the first time she was bred. OH, I know exactly about Vets & their enormous bills, I have had several myself, and are still paying on last years nearly $500 one for when my mare didn't get her milk in So now when I sell the foal, there will be no money to be made, AGAIN I am also in the same boat about my mare wondering if she is bred or not. I got her covered & 15 days later, back in season she came So I turned her & the foal out with my stud and let them breed again. At this point, I am not sure if she is bred, or if she is, when to expect a foal......Yes, winter is getting to me too I forgot to add that my other mare (I have just the 2) aborted her foal early in July And she is a pain to get bred! sigh.......
