Have any of you ever dealt with these in your horses? Casper has some in his right ear and is now resisting the bridle.... I don't like that is bothers him. What can you do to get rid of it??

What exactly are you calling ear plaque? The reason I ask is that Amistad had what looked like a dry, black, scaly, fungus-y looking bump, about an inch in diameter and sticking out about an eighth of an inch in his right ear during the summer of '05. As long as it was left alone, that was the size it stayed. The vet removed it, thinking it was just a normal skin growth due to his grey color, but it was making him sensitive to having his ear touched. About 2 weeks later, it returned with a vengeance...it looked like he had a rotton head of cauliflower sticking out of his ear. It was literally that big, and it was oozy and crusty. Vet removed it again and we had it biopsied and it turned out to be cancer. He had to have a series of chemo injections to his ear over several months. He has been in remission since.
I'm not mentioning this to scare you lol, was just wondering since Casper has such unique coloring if you had a vet look at it.
