Regarding donations: Just so you know, you may be helping them pay bills, but it very well may be a scam. Set up in a very clever fashion.

Well, I had tuned in to watch 2 mares tonight - I have time and have to be in front of the PC until midnight, so I like to watch the mares. THough I've not caught one yet! I received an email & read about the story of one bad situation and of the effort to raise money - did not know how - so I joined the forums and told some folks about it. In turn I of course received a link which detailed several things that made me think twice. I don't have much myself, and I it's not that I don't think it's going to the specific cause, I just don't think it's helping in the bigger-picture or in the long run.... You know what I mean? So I read about some people without much themselves giving to help someone...it's enough to make your heart swell with pride in humanity for a change! But when it's really a short term solution to what *may* be a bigger problem.... so, kick me off or whatever you do, because this was all I came for - to help and it turns out this is all I can do.
Thanks Zalea - I really appreciate your tact (no sarcasm!) I know what you mean....I won't be back, but I'll be watching mares and if I ever catch one, I'll call if there's a number! LOL

Hhhhmmmmm... this still is not identifying exactly what situation or what group of people you are talking about so it seems to me that you really aren't spreading word on anything other than the fact that yes there are and always will be those who cheat others...

Well, since I do know what is going on. And I also know the rules of this board. I for one, am glad it wasnt brought here. I consider MareStaremy "safeplace".Again true or not. Is not the point. Flaming just isnt allowed. I think the sleeping dog should be left lying here myself, because it will do no one any good, and no one will benefit from it.

Jenks - we will consider this as advice from you that all people should be aware of the organization or the fund that they are donating to.....this is not bad advice, and it should be considered. We all work hard for the funds that we have - make sure you donate your money wisely.
No particular fund was mentioned - and I expect it to stay that way. There are many good causes mentioned on this board, and on many others.
