I saw this idea posted on the Tim Woolley Racing website from the Fans of Barbaro. Just an idea but if it saves one horse from slaughter, it works!
This is an excerpt from the thread.
"I just get off the phone with Victoria of Last Chance Corral and I have an idea for a challenge to any REALTORS out there.
I always buy a closing gift to give to a Buyer or Seller after the successful sale of their house, usually a $200 gift certificate for dinner. From now on, for $250 I am giving them a framed picture of one of Victoria's foals with a plaque on it explaining that this foal was saved in their name. She is sending me photographs of individual foals and I will name the foals after my client's last name and put it on the plaque. They can put it on their piano and evey time someone asks about the baby horse, they can tell the story! That way, we save lots of foals ( I am the #3 selling agent in my state) and the word gets out.
I am challenging anyone else in real estate or a business where giving a gift is appropriate to do the same!

Thought this might work for marestare cares too. Any thoughts on this?
