Well....... THEY DID!!! heehee.... Bart, our yearling gelding, and Swirl, our yearling colt (co-owned with Vanity Grove) both did exceptionally well....getting Grands and Reserves.... Marcos, Shannon's big senior gelding, did phenomenal as usual, winning Liberty under three judges and then winning his class. Miss Kitty - (my heart) took a 2nd and three thirds in Liberty - she is NOT a liberty horse, but she took Champion of Champions in Halter YEAH!!!!  and then a huge surprise for us....our little tiny 26/27" yearling filly "Hooker" took 4 firsts and then got a reserve and a GRAND in over all mares. She beat out the mature older mares, which is hardly ever done. She kicked butt- she looked so good and so tiny....we were so tickled that we giggled about it all day long. So yes, my horses were beautiful and did very well. And Miss Merry doesn't need to be modest either....her little Sarah, that many of you saw born, did very well too! She is so pretty..... |

Way to go Heather, I'm so happy for you, Shannon and Merry. That was such good news to hear and a wonderful start into a new season/year. Keep up the good work, and again Congratulations on your wins.

Heather's son Frank was trying to find a rental car at the show and now I know why....to haul all the ribbons home!!!  Her tiny filly really is pretty and my tiny filly, Sarah, was honored to come in 2nd to Hooker under two of the judges, and 3rd under the other two judges. |

It doesn't surprise me though, Good things happen to Good people!
Horses take sooooo much work & dedication, but we get soooo much pleasure & love from them. All the ribbons are just 'icing on the cake'!
 Congrats again!!!!!! ;D
....oh, and why don't you line up all those ribbons & take a picture for us to look at ?

on the theme of taking pictures of ribbons..... at the end of a show day our barn used to load all the horses onto the trailer and them line all the day's ribbons on the bottom doors of the trailer (with the tops open) and take a picture so all you saw were all the horses butts with the ribbons in front - i'll have to see if i can track some down :-)
congrats congrats congrats heather (and merry too!) you are both such deserving people and your horses are truly phenomenal.
