I really don't have any advice for you but I will tell you that my mare never waxed or dripped that I know of. I was told she had babies by the first vet that checked her but now that she has foaled and the way she is acting I am thinking this may be her first baby. I figured on Friday that April will foal b4 Monday with the changes in her vulva. Since she didn't wax I went on those changes. She got puffy and long and stayed that way for 2-3 days I knew she couldn't hold out much longer............ I wish you luck with your mare and foal I hope she has a easy birth and a healthy baby and soon. Does she have a puffy long vulva yet? I watched my mare everyday all day and she slowly got looser then when it puffed out and was longer I knew it was time. she was puffy more than long. She was funny though when I would stand behind her to catch a glimce she would tighten it up. I had to wait till she didn't know I was watching to get a good look usually when she was walking and for a few minutes when she ate. I don't mean to sound so eeeewwwww but it is part of foaling.
Have you had a foal b4 or is it your first time like me?
