TO ALL THE MOM'S OUT THERE

I would like to start this thread to be able to dedicate a few words to our mothers.

MOTHER'S WINGS
Remember me for when I am gone,
I hope my memories will carry on.
As I lay down and draw my last breath,
I'm not scared there sheould be no fear,
With death.

It is peaceful and glowing I see a light,
As a hand reaches or me and holds on tight.
Follow me I hear a voice say you are comeing
Home with me today.
I follow his voice only to find, others waiting
For me that once left me behind.

We told you we would wait for you, and some
Day you would see,
The glory we found and wanted to share
With thee.

I wish you farewell loveing mother of mine,
In hopes some day I will be able to
Hold your hand in mine.

But until then I hope you know,
How much I dealry love you so.

I asked the lord for just one thing,
Let me never forget my mother has
Gotten her wings.

My mother passed March 31st, 2003. And even though years have gone bye, it still seems like it was just yesterday. To you mom, with love.

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to
put them down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I
couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so
important and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every
10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,
the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Those are both beautiful sentiments! I love being a mom, too! As a matter of fact I just took a picture of my little girl this morning with her two new babies!

This is Anna!
She is 4 years old. She had a tracheostomy tube put in her neck when she was 3 months old due to a tumor growing in her trachea. This passed January 17th she was able to have it removed after almost 4 years!! She had finally out grown the tumor!!! We are very pleased with her progress and after having surgeries performed on it evey 6 months of her life she will only have to have one more to permantly close the tiny hole in her neck and airway!!
