Gabby is eating small amount of food and passing everything. She's doing exceptionally well and is almost ready to come home.
Hope is doing well also, but still has some swelling in her joints. They tried to tap it but couldn't get anything which leads them to believe it's just fluid from being septic. They plan to xray and ultrasound today.
However, she is wheezing a bit and they think it may be pneumonia - a touch of pneumonia. They say it's to be expected in a septic foal. If it is pneumonia...that's 3 more weeks at the hospital.....oh well.....we're glad that they're improving.
Thanks so much for your prayers and concerns. Please continue to pray for little Hope.

WOW, I am so happy Gabby is doing well. Now she needs to get home and encourage one little black and white Pinto to stop shoving her food dish around and get busy. She also needs to inform a nosey chicken that her stall is not a roost LOL. I know that Gabby will have some encouraging whinny words for Hope. That little filly is a real trooper, but after what I have seen I figure any foal of Gabby's is gonna be tough. We will keep her in our prays and plan the party when she breaks out of there <g>. All Lil' Hope needs is some TLC from her Mom. Gabby will make that baby well and they will both come home. Being an old woman my joints bother me too...think we're related?? Heather and Shannie have a good trip and don't worry about anything Big Moe and Dad will watch over things for you.
