this is for Devotee..I know how much you love Gorgeous George..he made his reappearance yesterday at Royal Ascot...and despite a strong finish..could only manage 4th....but, he's been off for a while, and he looked better than ever!
He's apparently being aimed at the BC Mile...so keep your eyes peeled folks...Gorgeous George is heading your way!
I'm going to be offline for a while....but I will be trying to check in regularly!

You bet I'm following the news about him! He was very rank before the race (post parade, gate, and first furlong), and it probably cost him what he needed at the finish. But Aiden seemed pleased with the race as a comeback start. I'll be watching and hoping that he makes it to NJ. Perhaps if he wins the BC mile, they'll stand him at stud somewhere in the USA. I know that was last year's plan if he did well in the Classic.
I am such a sucker for gorgeous, daffy TBs. And I always seem to pick the ones who flunk out at stud. My other great love is War Emblem. LOL! There are always rumors that Shadai is going to return him from Japan to Kentucky for high-level fertility work, but I've given up on it ever happening.
Oh, and I adore Funny Cide, who is running at Finger Lakes (next stop, a county fair in your neighborhood - LOL!) on the 4th of July. I'm really hoping to catch him at Kentucky Horse Park, eventually.

 OMG!!! I just watched the race . . . TWICE! Once in British and once in French. GW is a total loon (that's what I love about him), but his finish is a scream-fest. What a marvelous horse! Roy and Gretchen Jackson sure know how to make them. Anyhow, here are the links, if anybody else needs a cheap thrill.
