Mulligans Run High Stepper went to his new home today with Anne and Sam. However, he chose to ride "in style" - no horse trailer for him. He rode in the back of Anne's Monterro with heat/air conditioning and music - Whitney Houston. Here's a photo of him as he waved goodbye....

OMG that is too funny, I don't blame him, I'd rather ride in a Monterro too.

Well, Stepper is home and knee deep in fresh hay, literally. I built a new stall for him that was based on him being 28 inches, it is about six inches deep in hay so he is just about buried to his knees. It turns out his is actually only 26.5 inches and has the advantage of being able to walk under the lower planks of his stall so it looks like tomorrow will be a hammer and nail day <g>.
He is really enjoying his new digs but the cats are really freaking out. They can't figure out if he is a really ugly dog or a giant cat but they want their hay bed back. My Maine Coon just stares at him with his eyes really big, Stepper ignores him and just enjoys the hay.
Tomorrow he gets a bath...more to come.

Ridin' in style!!! Somehow I think that fits the little man! He is such a cutie and a sweet boy too! I didn't realize it was "you" yesterday (aka ccArchangel). DUH!! I'm a little slow... Foxy and baby have settled in nicely, even with all the rain we got last night. (I thought we were DONE with that stuff - ugh!!!) Magnum, of course, is in hog heaven. ;D Well, Congrats!!! on your new little one. It is amazing the joy and peace that horses seem to bring to our lives... Truly a gift from God... But watch out, they seem to multiply Keep us posted brenda

Okay, I am going to go snap a few pictures of him in his stall and in his new blanket and post them later today. He is so cute in his stall, I think I am going to have to lower his apple and ball toys so he can reach them, either that or get him a step ladder. My chickens are terrified of him, they think he is some weird dog that is going to eat them LOL. Archangel

That is a 28" foal blanket and it is adjusted to as small as it can go. I am feeding him and watering him, maybe he will grow LOL. He is a whole 26.5 inches now, I really could almost put him in my pocket . BTW - The Horse spoiling elves have already been hard at work and he is rotten . Archangel

Neat pics. The blanket one is hilarious. Maybe some size dog blanket would fit him?
