I know the power of prayer is a wonderful thing.. I got a call from Heather at 4:30 this afternoon. Her dad had to go see his lung doctor today, they sent her to the emergency room to admit him to the hospital, they said his blood count was very low and suspect that he is bleeding internally. They are going to do some blood transfusions and find out where he is bleeding from. Please keep Heather and her family in your thoughts and prayers. I will update as soon as I hear from Heather.

Prayers are on their way. Want to hear good news on this one. I lost my Dad two years ago and still have not recovered. Thank God for horses. God will work his miracles!

Just spoke with Heather, she said they are getting everything together for the blood transfusion it will take 4 hours to complete. Grandpa is in good spirits but he is hungry and they will not let him eat. They are not going to run any test until morning. I will update as soon as I hear from Heather after the transfusion is complete.

Oh my!! I am so sorry to hear he is not doing well. Thank you Angie for keeping us posted. Heather please know he is in our prayers. He loves those little horses. Maybe they can bring HIM some carrots! I pray the transfusion goes well and that they can identify the cause quickly and get things fixed up. Take care. Brandi - I know we have been pushing you, but now might be a good time to wait...

Hugs and prayers for Heather and her Father. They always fed my hubby while he was getting his transfusions unless it is because they are going to run more tests on him. Hope he will be home very soon.

Thank you so much for your prayers and well wishes for my father. He's on his fourth bag of blood and the change in him is dramatic. He actually has color and he's getting fiesty! They did the EGD (I think that's right - scope down throat) and found nothing. They are planning a CAT scan this afternoon and a colonoscopy in the morning. If those show nothing then they're going to give him the capsule that he'll swallow and it takes pictures throughout the path of the small intestine.
So, he's still without food, which makes him unhappy, but we're glad that he has the strength to be fiesty! That's always a good sign.
Brandi is at 4 1/2 squares and has made more physical changes that are telling me she's getting closer, but she's fooled us before. The full moon is coming, so I'm hopeful that will bring us a healthy foal.
I'll do my best to keep you posted, either myself or through Angie and Teresa. Thanks again and God Bless.

Love and prayers coming from me too, Heather.
I hope he was just a bit anemic and the new blood fixed what ailed him.
