Mare Stare family loss......

It was just brought to my attention that Jen at Goodman And Sons has had an extremely tragic loss. This is what she has posted on her board....

I was not going to post this just yet, but I feel I need to explain.

This morning a serious accident happened. First Lacey went to thrashing around in her stall, she kicked the baby over and kicked her in the head before we could get her out. We lost Lacey this morning around 9 am, then we lost Stinker a little after 11 am.

Please, we done all we could. There was nothing that could of prepared us for this.

Vets opinion was....Lacey had a blood clot that broke loose and started causeing her pain. It eventually took her away from us. Stinker passed from massive head injuries. We are mourning the lost of our dear Lacey and her beautiful baby Stinker right now.

I will post when I can, and will try to keep everyone up todate on the other mares due here.

My heart goes out to them. I tuned in shortly after the birth of Stinker and was amazed at her beauty. This is a tragic loss and I am broken hearted for them. Please take a moment to post your condolences and to send out a prayer for the family at Goodman & Sons. Thank you Claire for bringing this to our attention. They need all the love, support and prayers possible to help them get through this.
