Chelsea and I add our heartfelt condolances to your family. Although we've lost three foals through aborts at 8 months, I was always relieved when the mare came through okay. I just can't imagine losing both. Our prayers to all the mares and their foals.

Thank you all for your support and prayers. It has been a very rough week here and we have really need them. Our girls were laid to rest today together. Was one of the hardest days of my life. Life must go on. With family and friends we have made it through so far.

oh my gosh. I dont know what to say.......... such a tragic loss of two beautiful animals that we all loved. And we know nothing could have been done about it and heather and them wouldnt have got there in time anyway if it makes them feel beter. :'(I'm just trying to say nothing was anyones fault. And i will pray every night for these two! The mare and foal to never be forgotten. We love you and give our hearts out to you lacey and stinker.

Of all the mares I've watched, I had just fallen in love with that dear little mare.

I know "these things happen", but nothing can take away the wretching pain of such a tragedy.

it is extremely sad that you lost both mare and foal, especially after the joyful birth and relief that that had gone ok. You have my deepest sympathy. What a roller coaster of emotions you have experienced this week. I am sorry for your tremendous loss.
