Prayers needed at KB

Just got off the phone with Bev.....

Doug will be back tomorrow at 3:00. He will do a v aginal on Sierra then to try and locate the twist. Sometimes after a v aginal a pregnant mare will go into labor. Not all the time, but soemtimes.

Sierra right now has no milk, but hopefully after this rectal exam today, she will start producing milk or after the v aginal tomorrow. If she foals tomorrow, Doug can give her something to let down her milk anyway.

Next.....This is serious. Sierra has a partial twist in her gut. Doug has given her something to slow down her gut so it will not work so hard and aggravate that twist. With her gut slowed down, her heartbeat which is too fast right now will also slow down.

After Sierra foals we are all hoping and PRAYING that her gut will straighten out. If it twists then she will be in a life threatening situation. So Sierra needs your prayers please. "

Sierra is the mare on Cam #1 at KBhilltopstables, this is how Bev lost Sierra's mother a few years ago.

Sarah - the board modified your post to say "Girl thingy" and I am not sure what that is.....maybe you can type it out with a space between each letter. I had to do that once with the name of a stallion we used.

Anyway...prayers going out to KB - hoping for a quick and complete recovery.

UPDATE: "Sierra's twist has undone now but is weak. So as soon as we see wax Doug will be back and will induce her and be here when she foals. Her heart is still a Little high but not like yesterday."
