Congrats on the beautiful filly! I sent out the low alert as soon as I saw her start pushing, but by the time it went out, she was done!! It's true what they say about Friesians getting down to business when foaling!

If you want to be there when a Friesian foals you cannot take your eyes off them....its incrediable. Usually early also....this mare was less than 330 days.

Hi everybody! I'm Meribeth Aarnink and I just wanted to say Thanks for the congrats. Pam is right you can't take your eyes off! The vet was out yesterday (we were trying the 'predict-a-foal' and this being my first time, I just wanted to check, check and double check) Well, so much for that! He said, and the test said, not likely last night. All I can say is thank goodness for MARESTARE! My trainer was watching and called me to GET TO THE BARN NOW! I did and the rest as they say is history. It's a filly and she's fine and healthy. Vet check today - everything normal. I heard her baby whinny last night, I think she was sleeping. After a few nights on the floor, I am ready for the comfort of my own bed!
Thanks again

the predict-a-foal kit really is not acuret at all. We have used foal-watch for 4 years now at our barn and yes on friesians and it has been 100% unless the mare decided she likes the attention and doing the drama act (but that was a tb) www.chemetrics.com/products/foal.htm Hi everybody!
