Somone asked how I posted screen captures off of streaming video- so here we go. I select the camera window (make sure the cursor is in that window), hold down the ALT key and hit "Print Scrn" ( up next to F12.) Then I open my photo editing program (I use paint), and paste the image into it, cropping off the window frame afterwards. I then save it as a jpg file and upload it my photo album site for posting. If you don't have a photo album, you can get a free picture hosting account at www.photobucket.com. I have an older video card, which does "software rendering." If you have a newer video card, this might not work for you. But you can always try it. We have 2 computers here, and it will work on mine, but not on his. Hope this explanation helps ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Correction, sorry, its the alt key not cntrl .... YIKES!! and also, to capture the whole screen, just hit the print screen button, with no alt. I sent someone an email the other night of my whole screen with all the cams I had up , and also my game, and they just said WOW !! hahaha ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I never could get the ctrl/alt print thing to work on my computer... ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) I downloaded MWSnap3. That is what I use on all the sites to capture pictures. Link to software: www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html All you have to do with it is designate what folder you want your pics saved into. You can make your square the size you want (there's a pre-sized one that is just the right size for the cam window), and set it over the cam and click it whenever you want. I mainly use it for the Africa wildlife cams (but you have to make some adjustments to windows media player to use it with that or you'll get a black box). To get the pics on the message board, see the thread on "HELP: How Do I Post Photos". ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Sorry that I messed up on the directions, its the alt key, not the ctrl....... ugh
And, like I said, some video cards will allow you to do it, and some won't - just depends.

Thanks for all the helpful information on how to capture images. I also received a PM from Lynn3633, and she turned me on to some free trial software from techsmith.com. It's called Snagit. My test drives were easy, and I can't wait to play with it later tonight.

I agree thank you for the post. I too was wondering how it was done. I tried the Ctrl and print screen and it captured the entire screen, but the Alt works MUCH better LOL. I was able to capture a picture of my chickens invading my mares stall today LOL. Take care everyone, Brittany

Anybody wanting to know how to do still shots may pm me for instructions. I'm more than glad to teach any of you. It's very easy to do. I use a free software to capture them. If I get lots of response on this, I may just do a thread on it.
