Has anyone seen the article about the 11 year old boy killing the 1051 pound pig? In the woods of Alabama..........I moved to Alabama last year.............I sure hope I don't run up on a wild boar especially one that size. It could eat a small person with practically 1 bite!!!!!!! The website to this is www.monsterpig.com

Turns out it was really that big, however it was a pet pig that was sold to the hunting plantation only 4 days before it was killed. I think that's really sad. It had no idea that it should have been running from those people like a wild animal would have. Here's the link to the story on MSN: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18989526/?GT1=10056

Its really called canned hunting...They do it in South Africa or I should say did..They banned it it really is a shame that the animals run to the humans they associate them with food.. Then they are killed What kind of sport is that??? If all the Deer in the woods did that there would be none left...

Kinda strange.... I dont care for all the hunting pictures, but thats JMO.. Oh, the one of Bigfoot is a fake. There is a guy in Florida that has this "shrine" for Bigfoot and swears he sees him all the time. Not sure if the PC term is Skunkape or Bigfoot,LOl

we haven't been much on hunting my husband liked to hunt deer in KY. They were so plentiful in KY. I live in Alabama and hardly see deer. I don't agree with hunting for the sport but if you are going to use the animal for food I agree with that. The thing is if there wasn't anyone hunting for sport the animals would be out of control. When I lived in KY it wasn't unusual for us to see up to 50 deer in 1 field. I had told a man that in Arkansas but he said I must of been on a wild life refuge. Just because he hadn't seen that many deer in Ark doesn't mean there isn't many in KY.
Now the story with this huge pig was it took the boy 3 hours to kill it. I don't know about that but I sure wouldn't agree with the animal suffering. My hubsand used a bow and arrow one time he went hunting the arrow had razor like things on it to kill the deer faster I assume it is so they don't have to chase the deer very far. Like I said my hubsand used to hunt and only about 5 or 6 times in the 11 1/2 years we have been married. I don't even remember if he got a deer. This may gross some people out but we have picked up 2 deers off the road after we hit them with the car. We just gave them to some friends that ate them. I have only ate deer 1 time.

My husband hunts for first for the sport of it, but on that note ALL of the meat from the deer he gets is used. Every hunter out there will tell you they are looking for that trophy buck, but when it comes down to it at the end of the season if he doesn't find his trophy buck he will take what he can so we can have some wild game here at the house. As far as the road kill many people if they hit the animal will put it out of its suffering and take it home. BUT most of the time the trauma is so great to a certain region that the meat is not salvageable. So in other words you may get half a deer that is edible. Hubby is a meat cutter this is what he does for a living is cutting up dead things (nice picture huh?!). He has hunted his entire life and I have no problem with hunting as long as it is done "correctly" ie no baiting under the tree stand...... As far as those hunting grounds, yeah I think its cheating BUT those animals are raised to be killed or bought to be killed. Its no different then raising elk or buffalo (and I can tell you of three elk ranches within 30 min of me, and one buffalo ranch).

I know if there wern't hunting for sport then the animals would rule us..... On that note I actually seen an albino deer!!!!! This was about 3 miles from my old house in KY. I couldn't believe I seen the deer everyone was talking about. The bad thing is everyone wanted his head on their wall. I don't agree with that. This was a once in a lifetime chance for me to see this deer there arn't many out there. I don't think it should be hunted. I only seen it once and if it hadn't been for me babysitting and the kid with me pointed it out across the field I wouldn't have seen it. I didn't have glasses then and I couldn't see things far off. It was on a country road and I watched it until one of us left. I can't remember if the deer did or I did first.
On the road kill part it is kinda funny it was my husband driving me in the middle and my sister in law in the passenger seat (we had kids in the back seat) anyway we seen this deer going to cross the road well I grabbed the stearing wheel and instead of missing the deer I made us hit it. The hitting of the deer wasn't the funny part that was when I was getting yelled at for scaring my husband and grabbing the wheel........Something I have never done again. I learned my lesson.................LOL
I will get into the story of when I pulled my husband home when he was on the riding mower and I was in the car...........His cousin should've brought it back to us....I thought Kevin was having fun so I went a little faster but I didn't grab 3rd ot 4th gear like he says I did and how was I suposed to know that the mower would get on 2 wheels and swearve into the other lane into oncoming traffic.........good thing it was Kevins other cousin who pulled him the rest the way home..........I also found out that the mower didn't have brakes when he rear ended me after slamming on the brakes..............I don't know if Kevin was cussing more than he was shaking BUT I learned another lesson that day............When pulling the husband home on a mower DON'T by no means get over 25 miles an hour..........................LOL
