From Owner below, Spiegi is also listed in Special Care above (Nursery) as she needs eyes to watch her. Siegi gave birth to a super foal on Thur am. Unfort she retained placenta parts. We had her flushed within a few hours of birth and have been right on top of it. Yet..... we are still dealing with a infection of the uterus. She has been to the vets twice now for flushing and antibiotic infusions into the uterus itself. This is a critcal period as a lot of things can go wrong even with treatment. I am monitoring her as much as I can, but any extra eyes would be helpful. She is uncomfortable and there is not much I can do about that other than give her Banamine for the pain and inflamation (as I am). But if you see her get into serious pain or thrashing, etc. PLEASE contact me at 210-204-9465 (LaNet). There are many things that can still go very wrong at the point. Im so worried she will not heal or have scar tissue where she cant hold a foal anymore....or even worse founder. Thanks in advance everyone! www.marestare.com/spindle.htm
