Recently I finshed my First Aid course, and I was thinking about pulses, and wondered where you can find a horse's pulse? Thanks, Cassie

You can get a horses pulse in the neck, the arm pit or down below the fetlock joint (easiest place).

I have been taught to find the pulse on the inside of the jawbone. For me that works fine as well. I will try yours bndranch and see how they work out for me. Never hurts to find out more.

You can also get a pulse up and under the tail - on the smooth underside...

for taking P&R's at competitive trail and edurance rides they use the armpit location. Not sure why that one is there preference (maybe because it's closest to the heart) but it is.
