I have a yearling mini filly that has the itches.....rubbing out hair on the underside of her neck. She has been wormed and dusted. Cant figure out what it is ? Any other things that maybe mini specific? I will be shaving her as soon as it warms up.Is there anything else I can do?

No experience here..but sounds like maybe an allergy or something like a contact dermatitis?? Do ya have any of the silver left?(let me know if its all gone ) Wouldnt hurt to use cottonballs and swab that area...may not get rid of it but at least she wont get an infection from scratching....wish I knew more about horses to give you more ideas...Anybody else out there have any suggestions?

It could be a hot spot - allergies. Also look around and see what might be neck lever on her. Anything in the pasture or barn or stall. Might be something she rubbed up against.
