Heather, so glad the surgery went well. I remember what you went through with Gabby last year and I know that was going through your mind with Dancer. But it sounds like it went well and with time Dancer will be dancing again. You and Shannon get some well needed rest and know Dancer is in good hands and most of all, that you have a very STRONG support group here sending good thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery!!!!

I am sorry to hear what you have gone through. I just read the post and I wanted to send my prayers your way and let you know to keep strong and I will pray for strength for you as you go through these next few months of helping your little one back on his feet. I am glad surgery went good.
What we wont do for our precious pets.

I too am also getting up to speed on your situation Heather. So thankful to read that your mares surgery went well. I actually have recently read an artical about that very same condition in miniature horses. I was wondering if the Vet had any preventative ideas to share with you.

Dancer is doing great. She looked so wonderful when we left - very alert and attentive. Came right over to us and wanted some loving and treats - no food though until her stomach is empty. They scoped her after we left and they felt she had more food in her stomach than they were comfortable with, so they gave her two more cans of coke. They'll scope her again in the morning and see if she's emptying like she should be, but so far so good.
