I haven't heard anything in it seems about a week! I've been thinking about y'all and Buttercup. Has she foaled yet? Any pictures of her? Or just any news in General?
Still praying for a safe and healthy delivery!!!

Thanks for asking!! Still no baby!! We are still on a 24 hour watch. I have the midnight watch and she walked all night last night. She didn't lay down much. Our weather was getting nice, in the 40's and 50's even. But, the past 2 days it has gotten cold again and even in the low 20's at night. Yesterday we had snow/rain mix ~ YUCK!! And today it snowed!!! NOoooooooooooo!!! But, the snow is sticking too. I keep praying for no baby right now because it is so cold and wet. I feel so bad for Buttercup ~ she just wont go in her shelter we have for her and she stood all night Sunday night and Monday out in the rain. She got soaked. I hate that. I wish she would go in her shelter. Actually my husband went out there and got her in the shelter and talked to her and loved on her (and brought her more hay in her manger) and she stayed in there. While they were in there she pooped and my husband left the shelter and closed the door (it is a half door made out of wood) and Buttercup just didn't like that. We were in the house watching her on our monitor and she was doing circles and then she just pushed the door down and walked out!! LOL She just doesn't like being closed in the shelter so she stands out in the rain and snow. She will teach this baby to do the same thing I am afraid. My husband keeps trying to check her udders and he said yesterday that they felt sticky. This is our first experience so we aren't quite sure what sticky feeling udders mean. But, she has bagged up and has big udders and her tushy is so squishy and she has been bitting at her tummy, pushing on the fench railing ~ all the signs that I understood that baby was coming soon. This has gone on like for the past 3 or so weeks. I don't know when she will foal. This is driving us crazy here. We have heard they can hold on to their foal for up to a month. So, who knows what is going on with her and this baby. We have seen it move and kick, so it is still alive. Thank the Lord. This is a picture of her about a month ago when we thought she was going into labor. She was moaning and kept laying down. Here is a picture of our oldest daughter giving Buttercup some loving. That is our house we live in and the first window on the left (on the top level) is where we sit and do our marestare!! This picture was taken the same day as the top picture. She was acting like she was going into labor ~ but since this is our first time I guess we were mistaken. But, this is our precious Buttercup!! Take care, God Bless, Tari
