I am going to make a board like this one (Mare Stare). And I am going to put the updates of all the updates of each and every mare so, I will have updates on every mare on cam. All the new farms that come with marestare, we foal, my horse cams, everything, to make everyone the latest issues of mares so we have a better pourcentage of people that can see mares foal, I will make the board tommorow morning before school if I can wake up in time. I will post the link once it's created, I will put it as anyone can post but if I notice people are going to post other languages and symboles or anything non related to mares foaling or anything to do with horses at all(( you can post pics)), I will change it to a board were only registered members can post.

Kat, Kristy is my friend in real life, and she was doing this so people who dont always remember every message board can go there and read the updates. I think its a good idea since me, and many other people, tend to forget about some messahe board and cams |

Kristy, I noticed on your Board that you have posted that Banner has a "rather large bag". Banner does not in fact have a rather large bag and I should know, I'm her owner.
I appreciate that you are trying to provide a service to everybody that enjoys watching the cams but, in the future, please do not post any information about my horse unless it comes from me.

I think its a good idea since me, and many other people, tend to forget about some messahe board and cams I know you're just defending your friend, but there's no need to jump on me. That probably wasn't your intention, but stating that she's your friend in real life usually means "back off or I'm going to sic my rather large vicious looking dog on you." Ok, so in my case my large vicious looking dog is a white-factored tri-color Shetland Sheepdog who is exactly 16 inches at the shoulder (which is the maximum height for the AKC standard). ;D There's no need to defend her at all. I was simply making an observation. It just seems easy enough to keep track of the mares (or at least the mares I'm actively watching) and I didn't really know what to make of her coming up with another board when we have Mare Stare. I know the two would be connected and she did state that it would be a board (which is different than a forum) but the general rule of thumb seems to be that you don't advertise another forum on the forum you already belong to. Just my two cents. Sorry to have ruffled any feathers. I've been doing that a lot lately. And I'm always the one who feels like junk afterwards. I don't know why I keep trying to do this online social stuff. It's like high school without the awful cafeteria food. |

Everyone that would like a board is welcome to have one. However, you need to make sure that the people you are posting about or the information you are posting is accurate.
I've had several people private message me and email me about their displeasure and concern about this "new" board. They don't want to be a part of it, which is their perogative.
I realize that you are trying to do a good service so what I'd like to propose is a separate board here on our forum for updates. I will set you up as a moderator and you can post everything in one section on which mares to watch.
This is one of the reasons that I started the "farm boards" so that we would have all the board in one area and not have to go from site, to site, to site.
Just let me know and I'll get it set up for you! ;D

What about Copyright issues???I presume that they are the same in the USA as they are here in the UK..
No one can post photographs or copy/paste written information without the written consent of the photographer or Author.
In other words you cannot simply use other people photographs or copy what they have written...
I`m not being a "killjoy" but I know that here it is illegal!

You are absolutely right. Let's remember though that this is a young girl who is trying to help. We just need to guide her correctly.  FYI - I have also put a trademark on Mare Stare for this same reason. Like you, I don't want to be a killjoy, but the site is becoming more and more recognized and I don't want it associated with things that are not authorized. |
